Oh Knight in gilded armor
whose path is filled with demons
of Hatred, Despair, and Anger;
Which you slay with carefully placed words
an open heart, and a giving soul.
The sword resting against your hip, sparingly used
called upon when no other way will do.
A Fighter until the very end
giving of yourself and taking wounds
to spare others from the pains of Life.
But oh handsome Warrior
seen are the scratches in thine garb,
knowing well they are more than skin deep.
You are as wounded and pained
as the souls you fight so hard to save.
Yet here you are standing tall
where others have stumbled and fallen along the path.
Oh pure and true White Knight
T'is easy to see your strength is Divine
guiding to where others can not tread.

Life In Grey
You breathed life into me, left me gasping for air
Could see the colors of the world again
After living in a world of grey for years
Speaking such sweet surprises of hope
A world where peace can exist
Opening my heart to what you had to offer
Along the way, I fell oh-so-hard
How could I not when you gave me strength to stand
After learning to laugh and smile once more
I couldn't resist the stares that pierced my soul
Nor the light that shined within them
As we shared a private smile
Yet like sand you're slipping through my fingers
Knowing I'm going to lose you
Leaving me whispering the words you'll never hear
Wearing yet another mask
The haven you offered, gone
I'll bear a grin as you make her smile
Hide the heartache as you touch her soul
It'll be just another day
In a world that's returning to grey
Could see the colors of the world again
After living in a world of grey for years
Speaking such sweet surprises of hope
A world where peace can exist
Opening my heart to what you had to offer
Along the way, I fell oh-so-hard
How could I not when you gave me strength to stand
After learning to laugh and smile once more
I couldn't resist the stares that pierced my soul
Nor the light that shined within them
As we shared a private smile
Yet like sand you're slipping through my fingers
Knowing I'm going to lose you
Leaving me whispering the words you'll never hear
Wearing yet another mask
The haven you offered, gone
I'll bear a grin as you make her smile
Hide the heartache as you touch her soul
It'll be just another day
In a world that's returning to grey
