Shattered mirror reflects her soul
All the lies won't help her now
Not when she sees herself like this
Lies not even she believed
Cold, hard tears stream
Down her pretty face
But not even they will glisten
Tattered past tore her apart
Slowly, piece by piece
Love to fill the void
When no love could be found
Not where she was looking
Bringing men to her bed
Instead of her heart
Sitting in that dark attic
She sees the darkness in herself
Knowing she can't go on this way
But another guy just left
Once more waiting for the next night
She knows she'll let him in
Even if it will kill her
Naked, she stands before the shattered mirror
Sees for once as the men see her
Pieces, not the whole
Doesn't know how to fill
The emptiness clawing inside her
Can't fit the pieces back together
To make her whole once more
The lies are all gone though
She can't hide the truth anymore
Knows her mistakes
Her failed attempts
Sorrowed soul
All that surrounds her is the darkness
It can't help her now
Eyes stare back that mock her
The deadened look that never ends
Her soul won't shine through
'Cause there's nothing bright
Left in her
There is no fixing this wound
Only the darkness is left
